The 40-channel T8830 TrustedTM Field Termination Assembly (FTA) is the primary interface between the TrustedTM TMR Analog Input module and the field device (wiring) loop. The FTA is supplied with 250 dropping resistors, suitable for 4-20mA current loops. The FTA is made up of several components: the interface cable connector and hood lock, loop power distribution, dropping resistors, and field input terminations.
To reduce integration time, the interface cable which connects the FTA and its I/O module is pre-assembled and fitted with a pair of specialized hoods. These hoods are used to secure the cable in place. The FTA hood fits into the metal slot retainer shown in the illustration at left.
