The 3500/40M Proximitor Monitor (ordering option 3500/40M-01-00, part number 140734-01) is a four-channel monitor that accepts input from Bently Nevada proximity transducers, conditions the signal to provide various vibration and position measurements, and compares the conditioned signals with user-programmable alarms. Using the 3500 Rack Configuration Software, each channel can be programmed to perform radial vibration, eccentricity, REBAM, thrust position, or differential expansion measurements.
The primary purpose of the 3500/40M is to provide machinery protection by continuously comparing monitored parameters against configured alarm setpoints to drive alarms, and to deliver essential machine information for both operations and maintenance personnel. Channels are programmed in pairs: channels 1 and 2 can perform one function while channels 3 and 4 perform another (or the same) function, allowing up to two measurement functions at a time. The 140734-01 is supplied with the Proximitor I/O Module with Internal Termination (option 01) and the standard hazardous area approval option (00).
