The VMIVME-7452 is a 6U single slot VME module that provides hard disk and floppy disk storage options for GE Fanuc Embedded Systems’ line of embedded VME processors. The module may be configured with either drive alone, or both. A Flash memory drive is available as an option. The VMIVME-7452 is a passive VME board, making connection to the P2 user defined pins, power and ground only.

The VMIVME-7452 establishes connection to the single board computer (SBC) IDE interface through the VME P2 user-defined pins. The type of SBC module and physical arrangement of the VME chassis determines the optional cable required. For typical application with a single slot SBC, the VMIVME-7452 is physically placed adjacent to the SBC. Connection between the boards is accomplished with the VMXC-3 cable assembly. For applications with a double slot processor module, or installations where the VMIVME-7452 is not placed adjacent to the processor module, the 14-inch VMXC-H cable assembly is recommended.
