The GE IS200VTCCH1C serves as the thermocouple input processing core for the Mark VI Speedtronic turbine control system and is a key front-end module in temperature monitoring systems for industrial equipment such as gas turbines and steam turbines. Its key features include 24 high-density channels, 16-bit high precision, a TMR redundant architecture, and robust adaptability to harsh industrial environments.
This module connects to field thermocouples via the accompanying TBTC (simplex/duplex) or DTTC (redundant) terminal blocks. It performs signal conditioning and amplification at the millivolt level, cold-junction compensation, analog-to-digital conversion, and data transmission, providing reliable raw data for the control system's temperature logic, alarms, and protection functions. This ensures the safe operation of the unit under various operating conditions.
The module's 24-channel single-board design effectively reduces rack space requirements. In combined-cycle power plants, there is no need to split signals across multiple I/O boards; a single IS200VTCCH1C can cover the primary temperature measurement points for both the gas turbine and steam turbine.
Furthermore, with a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and a conformal coating, it offers enhanced resistance to interference and wide-temperature adaptability, resulting in more stable signals and improved performance in harsh climates.
