Description
The IS200STTCH2A is a dedicated thermocouple input module for General Electric (GE) Mark VI series control systems and is part of the temperature signal acquisition units in the I/O package series. This module is specifically designed for industrial gas turbines, steam turbines, and generator sets. It converts temperature signals (such as Type J, Type K, and Type T) collected from field thermocouple sensors into digital signals for use by the control system in monitoring, protection, and closed-loop control.
The module features a Eurocard form factor and supports VME bus backplane communication. The front panel is equipped with two DB37 high-density D-sub connectors, allowing connection of up to 16 independent thermocouple channels (some configurations include an 8-channel terminal block with dedicated cold-junction compensation terminals, depending on the specific terminal block model selected). Installation Steps

- Connect the cable: Use a pre-terminated shielded cable to connect the DB37 connector on the module's front panel to the corresponding connector on the terminal block, then tighten the locking screws (pay attention to the direction to prevent misalignment).
- Connect the thermocouple: Connect the field thermocouple compensation leads to the corresponding "+" and "−" terminals on the terminal block according to their polarity, and ground the shield at one end on the terminal block side.
