The IS420UCSBH4A is a UCSB (Universal Control Station Board) controller module that is part of the GE Mark VIe series of turbine control systems. This controller is one of the core components of the Mark VIe and Mark VIeS distributed control systems (DCS) and is specifically designed for real-time control applications in gas turbines, steam turbines, combined-cycle power generation, and power generation and control systems such as the EX2100e and LS2100e.
As the "computational core" of the Mark VIe platform, this module features a single-module design and does not include local I/O; instead, it functions as a pure computational node that communicates with remote I/O modules via a dedicated IONet (Industrial Ethernet). This architecture achieves "physical separation of computing and I/O," providing the system with greater flexibility and reliability. The controller is suitable for use in both hazardous and non-hazardous locations and is certified to UL E207685 and UL DEMKO 12 ATEX 1114875X standards.
