The IS200EISBH1A is an Exciter ISBus Board (EISB) custom-designed by General Electric for the EX2100 static excitation system. This board is part of GE's Mark VI/Mark VIe series and serves as a core communication component in the excitation control systems of gas turbines, steam turbines, and large generator sets.
The primary function of this board is to provide a dedicated communication interface between the M1, M2, and C redundant controllers of the exciter. It receives fiber-optic feedback signals via the control backplane and transmits them to the DSPX controller, while also facilitating communication between the DSPX and tool and keyboard ports via an RS-232C interface.
Additionally, the board is responsible for receiving current and voltage signals from the generator’s magnetic field and transmitting them to the ground detection module (EGDM).

In wind farms, the IS200EISBH1A can be installed inside the turbine nacelle to collect data from vibration and temperature sensors, then transmit the aggregated data to the onshore EX2100 cabinet via a single Ethernet cable, thereby reducing the exposure of sensitive bus lines to harsh weather conditions.
