The IS200EXHSG3A is a high-speed relay driver and sensor terminal board developed by GE for the EX2100 static excitation system; it is part of the fourth-generation Mark VI series hardware. As a high-performance printed circuit board assembly, the IS200EXHSG3A integrates three core functions—high-speed relay driving, bidirectional Hall sensing, and online monitoring—into an ultra-slim form factor.
It connects to three exciter main input/output (EMIO) boards (for redundant control) or a single EMIO board (for simplex control) via the exciter backplane, enabling precise control of the generator excitation system. On one hand, it drives high-speed relays to rapidly switch the excitation circuit on and off; on the other hand, it monitors key parameters of the excitation system—such as current and voltage—in real time and provides rapid protection in the event of a fault.

- Regular Cleaning: Clean the module and surrounding components using a clean cloth and a mild detergent. Do not use corrosive chemicals or abrasive cleaning tools.
- Environmental Monitoring: Ensure that the module's operating temperature remains within the range of 0°C to +60°C, and that humidity is maintained between 5% and 93% RH (non-condensing).
- Status Indicator Inspection: Periodically check the onboard status and fault LED indicators to promptly detect any abnormal signals.
- Connector Inspection: Periodically inspect the connection status of ribbon cable connectors and backplane slots to ensure reliable signal transmission.
- Preventive Replacement: During scheduled downtime, consider performing preventive inspections and replacements on modules that have been in operation for an extended period to reduce the risk of sudden failures.
- Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Protection: Appropriate ESD protection measures must be taken during operation and maintenance to prevent damage to precision electronic components caused by electrostatic discharge.
