The IS220PTCCH1A is a thermocouple input module specifically designed for temperature signal acquisition in gas turbine and steam turbine control systems. This module converts weak millivolt-level voltage signals generated by thermocouple sensors into high-precision digital temperature data, which is then transmitted in real time to the controller via dual Ethernet channels.
The board employs an integrated "processor board + acquisition board" architecture, featuring a built-in BPPx processor board and dedicated thermocouple acquisition board. The module is housed in a compact metal enclosure and includes built-in cold-junction compensation, automatic sensor recognition, and EEPROM storage capabilities.
Operating at the Mark VIe distributed I/O layer, the module communicates with core processors via dual-channel redundant Ethernet, ensuring high reliability in temperature data transmission. Its core design logic centers on weak signal amplification and cold-junction compensation, incorporating a high-precision 16-bit A/D converter and differential multiplexer to accurately capture minute voltage changes from thermocouples.

At the power center of a large coal chemical complex in Northwest China, the project required deep integration of the Mark VIe control system for the GE 9E gas turbine with the plant-wide Experion DCS system to enable centralized monitoring and load optimization.
In this project, the IS220PTCCH1A is responsible for acquiring key parameters such as gas turbine exhaust temperature and bearing temperature. Its stable Modbus TCP/IP link ensures real-time transmission of temperature data to the DCS system, thereby resolving the communication bottleneck between the gas turbine and the DCS.
