The GE IS200EGDMH1A is a field-grounding detection module for exciter systems designed by General Electric (GE) specifically for the Speedtronic EX2100/EX2100e excitation control system.
Its primary function is to monitor the insulation status of the generator's excitation windings relative to ground in real time, accurately detect ground faults and leakage resistance throughout the entire circuit from the AC side to the DC side, and prevent major equipment failures such as winding short circuits and burnouts.
The IS200EGDMH1A is installed in the Excitation Power Supply Backplane (EPBP) and features a standard 6U dual-slot design that plugs directly into the backplane.
