The VMD TSW201-007-05 is an industrial-grade, single-channel vibration transmitter designed to measure shaft vibration (Sppm) of rotating machinery using an eddy-current displacement sensor. It outputs peak-to-peak vibration values and complies with DIN ISO 10817-1 standards, with partial equivalence to API 610 standards.

A steam turbine unit at a thermal power plant requires continuous monitoring of shaft vibration during operation to prevent blade or bearing failures. A VMD TSW201-007-05 transmitter paired with a WW007 eddy-current sensor is utilized; the sensor is installed at the shaft journal near the bearing to perform non-contact measurement of peak-to-peak shaft vibration. The transmitter outputs a 4-20 mA signal to the DCS, enabling real-time monitoring and alarming of the unit's vibration status.
The factory setting is 1-250 Hz, with an optional 5 Hz-1.5 kHz range available. The specific frequency range is configured at the factory based on customer requirements.
In the event of a fault, a red LED on the front panel illuminates, and the analog current output switches to a 2 mA signal.
Nominal +24 V DC (allowable range: 18-30 V DC), maximum current consumption of 100 mA, with galvanic isolation.
